Originally, we are a Turkish restaurant, but we are also inspired by other countries like Syria, Lebanon and… Greece! In other words, the Mediterranean cuisine.
The traditional Greek kitchen is known for its freshness and high-quality ingredients. From the freshest vegetables like eggplant and zucchini to the best meats and complementary herbs: the Greek cuisine has mastered the art of great food. Restaurant Maydanoz is originally a Turkish restaurant, but we also take inspiration from the cuisine of many other Mediterranean countries, including Greece! So, you could also consider us a Greek restaurant in Amsterdam. Where Greece uses fresh products and herbs extensively, we do the same. Did you know that the word 'maydanoz' means parsley in Turkish? We love using this herb in our dishes. Quality and service are essential to us because making sure you have a wonderful dining experience is our top priority.
